Ted Lehane

I am a father, husband, writer, filmmaker, and grip from Brooklyn. For 35 years I rigged lights and cameras for other people's visions. This site is what I was doing the rest of the time. My writings — ranging in style, content, and age — reflect an honest desire to capture fleeting moments of everyday life. This body of work is ever-changing as I continue to rediscover and resurrect writing from my past. While functioning as a form of self-publishing, this site serves as a mosaic of that work over the years, reflecting transitional periods, internal contemplation, and poignant observations.

Tumble Dry  →

A film I shot in 1997 and am finishing now. A laundromat on the Lower East Side. One night. A man waiting for his clothes to dry.
